Again these photos are a little late - these are the fascinators I made the girls for Melbourne Cup Day 2008. Since Halle was born I have made her a hat/fascinator each year and it is now a tradition, and just because Georgia was only about 6 weeks old doesn't mean she had to miss out.

Therefore you might like to get a start on your Xmas cards....no.....bit early.... Actually this post like a lot of them lately is running late. This is the card I made for Xmas last year, the idea for this design came from cards designed by Sam Post, you can see them here. Whilst it doesn't show up too well in the photos, if you click on the second photo and enlarge it you can just see where I painted over the certainly celery and the regal rose with a clear glaze. This did take a lot of extra time, however I was really happy with the result.

Here is a pull treat card I made for Ainslee when Scrap Junkie closed. This pull treat held a voucher to Koko Black for a Belgium Spoil - believe me if you haven't experienced one of these you must get yourself straight down to Koko Black! This pull treat is an altered version of this pull treat. I used the new Embrace Life stamp set and Ginger Blossom Designer Series Paper from the Summer Mini Catalogue. I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture (you may need to click on it to enlarge it), I clear embossed the flower detail not only on the background but over the Ginger Blossom paper which gave it a really nice effect, one I will repeat no doubt.

As you can see I am getting around to all those posts I have been meaning to do for a long time... Today I wanted to share with you the mini Gingerbread houses I made for my friends. I made seven of these in total, that was in addition to the two houses I made which were double the size - one for my family and one for Brenden's family. The mini houses were approx 12cm tall and were filled with lollies, hungry anyone??

Yes it's true, even if to date I haven't actually provided any evidence. Over the next four days I will post pictures of the pages I did when I had a weekend away with my gorgeous girlfriends down the coast. I am only going to show you four pages even though I did five, I'm really not happy with the fifth - so unhappy in fact that I'm thinking of re-printing the photos and starting all over again. I will not be posting project recipes as I didn't take notice of the products I used. This first page is a scrap-lift, my apologies as I don't know who did the original layout but if it was you - THANKS!!
This is the "card" I made when my niece Grace was born - which was on the 26th November. The inspiration for this card came from the beautiful card my beautiful friend Susan made for me when Georgia was born, and like all paper crafters I loved it and just had to give it a go myself!! I cleaned up in the craft room the other day and can't find where I put the card Susan made, however when I do I'll post a pic of it.
My sister tells me this card received a lot of attention from the Doctors and Nurses when she was in hospital, often when they walked in the room, they'd ignore my sister and go straight up to the card to have a sticky - now that is the kind of attention I wish all of my paper crafting received!!
I think the photos are self-explanatory, however if you are wondering I stuck the top layer underneath the lid with Pop-Up Glue Dots.

When I saw the colours for this week's challenge I thought I would struggle but I actually whipped up this card in next to no time and am really happy with the result. I think this card is a really nice masculine card, now I'm just wondering whose birthday is next and therefore be the lucky recipient!
