So long, farewell.....the Retirement List is out!

Stampin' Up! have released the retirement list - and it is HUGE, our biggest ever!! The reason being is to bring our catalogue more in line with the US one, YAHOOOO!  The good news this year is that some sets, those marked with a single *, are being discounted by 25% and those marked with a double ** are being discounted by 50%!!

Bushfire Appeal Raffles

Bushfire Appeal Raffle #1 Hamper

 

Thanks to the generosity of Stampin’ Up!® I have a stack of goodies to raffle off to help raise funds for the  Victorian Bushfire Appeal.   There are four different raffles, each raffle has a Stamping and Scrapbooking Pack worth over $300 to be won.  I have listed the contents of each pack below.

 

Tickets are $2 each, or three for $5.  You can choose which raffle you want tickets in or leave it up to me to choose for you.  Tickets can be purchased directly from me, if you like you can transfer the money and I will email you a copy of your tickets.  In addition, as of Monday, you will also be able to purchase tickets from the Capital Chemist at the Tuggeranong Hyperdome (located on the ground level), they will also have one of the Hampers on display. 

 

All of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal.  Each raffle will be drawn on Friday 20th March 2009.  Winners will be notified by phone/email and results will be published on the Tin Can Stamps website.

If anyone is wondering why I have one raffle with four prizes - if it was a single raffle the prizes would be worth over $500 meaning I would have to register with ACT Lotteries and pay a fee - taking money away from the appeal.  I have checked with ACT Lotteries and I am allowed to run four individual raffles therefore I will be donating 100% of the proceeds to the Red Cross.

The 2009/2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue commences on the 1st of April.  This year Stampin' Up! are being very nice to us and allowing us to pre-order them.

Bushfire Appeal

We are all acutely aware of the devastation the bushfires have caused in Victoria, many demonstrators, myself included, contacted Stampin' Up!, to see what we could do to help...and as usual Stampin' Up! have put up their hand to help raise much needed funds.

From now until the 31st March 2009 Stampin' Up! will donate 50% of the sales of the following stamp sets to the Australia Red Cross Victorian Bushfires 2009 Appeal.

Plus, if you needed any more encouragement to help this worthy cause, I will also remove my demonstrator discount, reducing the price for you by 20%.  This is a discount for you, it will not affect the amount SU will donate.

In addition I pledge to donate $5 of my own money to the appeal for each stamp set sold.  So please, I beg you, help me to help the victims of this terrible tragedy.

Introducing Technique Classes

I have been working with my upline Katie to bring you our new and exciting Technique Classes.  Do you love stamping and want to try some new techniques?  Then this is the class for you.  Every month you will learn a new technique.  During each class you will create a 6x6” scrapbook page and two cards along with a sample of the technique.  You will also be provided with instructions to add, with the sample, to your Technique book. The technique books are the Stampin’ Up! 5x5” On Board Art Journal, a ring-bound chipboard book containing 20 cardstock pages.

The cost for technique classes will be $17.  Plus the one-off cost of purchasing a Technique Book for $13* and a Snail adhesive for $11*.

Embossing Technique Class

BYO:  One 3.25 x 2.75” landscape photo and one 2.5 x 3.5” portrait photo, black & white or colour.  Note, photos can be cropped in class, or they can be added at home after the class.  Snail adhesive or similar.   All other materials will be provided.

Cost: $17 for 6x6” Scrapbook Page, two Cards and a sample for your Technique Book.

A VERY SPECIAL STAMP SET

On Thursday 18^th October, Dave Abbot, the General Manager of Stampin’ Up! Australia passed away from a rare blood disease, age 41, leaving behind his wife and 3 young children.  Stampin' Up! being the incredible company they are have just released the stamp set called 'All In The Family' in Australia in order to raise money for Dave's family.  100% of the proceeds of the sale of this stamp set worldwide will be donated to Dave's young family - not just the profits but 100% of the sale price worldwide… now that's a company with heart!
